28 Biomarkers in the AgingSOS® Advanced Panel
Get insights you can’t find anywhere else. Our Advanced Panel measures cellular health and aging biomarkers that reveal deeper insights you won’t find in routine blood work.
Intracellular NAD+
What It Measures
The level of Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD+) within your cells.
Why It Matters
NAD+ is essential for energy production, DNA repair, and overall cellular function. Declining levels are associated with aging and decreased metabolic efficiency.
Senescence-Associated β-Galactosidase (SABG or β-gal)
What It Measures
Activity levels of β-galactosidase, an enzyme linked to cellular aging.
Why It Matters
Elevated SABG indicates the accumulation of senescent cells, which contribute to aging and age-related diseases.
Reactive Oxygen Metabolite (ROM)
What It Measures
Levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the body.
Why It Matters
High ROS levels can damage cells, proteins, and DNA, leading to chronic diseases and accelerated aging.
Total Antioxidant Capacity (TAC)
What It Measures
The body’s overall ability to neutralize free radicals.
Why It Matters
Adequate TAC protects against oxidative stress, maintaining cellular integrity and reducing disease risk.
Klotho
What It Measures
Levels of Klotho protein, associated with aging processes.
Why It Matters
Higher Klotho levels are linked to extended lifespan and protection against age-related diseases.
DNA Damage (8-OHdG)
What It Measures
Levels of 8-hydroxy-2′-deoxyguanosine, a marker of oxidative DNA damage.
Why It Matters
High levels suggest significant DNA damage, which can lead to mutations and disease development.
Cytokines: IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8, TNF-α
What It Measures
Markers of systemic inflammation.
Why It Matters
Elevated levels indicate chronic inflammation, associated with various diseases and aging.
Vitamin D
What It Measures
The concentration of vitamin D in your blood.
Why It Matters
Vitamin D is crucial for bone health, immune function, and inflammation regulation. Deficiency can lead to osteoporosis and increased infection risk.
Glycated Serum Protein (GSP)
What It Measures
Average blood sugar levels over the past 1-2 weeks.
Why It Matters
Helps in monitoring short-term glucose control, crucial for diabetes management.
Lipid panel: HDL, LDL, Triglycerides
What It Measures
Levels of various lipids in the blood.
Why It Matters
Imbalances can indicate cardiovascular risk, guiding dietary and lifestyle interventions.
Uric Acid
What It Measures
Concentration of uric acid in the blood.
Why It Matters
High levels can lead to gout and are associated with metabolic syndrome. It is a very important longevity biomarker.
Albumin
What It Measures
A protein produced by the liver, present in blood.
Why It Matters
Low levels may indicate liver or kidney issues.
ALP (Alkaline Phosphatase) & ALT (Alanine Aminotransferase)
What It Measures
Enzymes related to liver function.
Why It Matters
Elevated levels can signal liver damage.
Creatinine (CRE)
What It Measures
A molecule produced by muscle cells and filtered by the kidneys to maintain the normal levels.
Why It Matters
It is used to estimate glomerular filtration rate (eGFR). High levels can indicate impaired kidney function or increased muscle mass.
Creatine Kinase (CK)
What It Measures
An enzyme found in muscles.
Why It Matters
Elevated CK can suggest muscle damage or stress.
Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1C)
What It Measures
Your average blood sugar level over the past 2-3 months.
Why It Matters
It’s a crucial indicator of how well your blood sugar is being managed, especially for people with diabetes.
D-Dimer
What It Measures
A protein fragment your body makes when a blood clot dissolves.
Why It Matters
Helps in determining if you may have a blood clotting condition and risk for stroke, heart attack or pulmonary embolism.
Cystatin C
What It Measures
A protein made by cells in your body. Your kidneys filter out cystatin C to keep it at a normal level.
Why It Matters
Cystatin C is an alternative blood marker that increases as kidney function is impaired. In CKD, it is an alternative to serum creatinine for estimating glomerular filtration rate (eGFR). It may be better kidney biomarker than Creatinine in individuals with higher muscle mass or with creatine supplementation.
ApoB
What It Measures
Apo B or Apolipoprotein B-100, which carries the bad cholesterol (LDL) in your blood that help make plaque, a waxy fat that can block your arteries.
Why It Matters
The test can tell you about your risk for cardiovascular (heart and blood vessel) disease, probably better than lipid panel.
Homocysteine
What It Measures
Levels of an amino acid which is an intermediate in the metabolism of methionine and cysteine.
Why It Matters
Elevated homocysteine increases your risks for blood clots, heart disease and stroke. It is an indication that you may lack vitamin B6, B12, folic acid or trimethylglycine (TMG). These vitamins are needed to break down homocysteine.
Lp(a)
What It Measures
Apo B or Apolipoprotein B-100, which carries the bad cholesterol (LDL) in your blood that help make plaque, a waxy fat that can block your arteries.
Why It Matters
The test can tell you about your risk for cardiovascular (heart and blood vessel) disease, probably better than lipid panel.
hs-CRP: high sensitivity C Reactive Protein
What It Measures
Markers of systemic inflammation.
Why It Matters
Elevated levels indicate chronic inflammation, associated with various diseases and aging.
